It is a bit outside of town but a bus goes from right outside the door every 20 minutes so it is no big deal. The view is fabulous. The staff here were exceptional. Debs, the lady in reception couldn't have done more for us, she really went above and beyond. She reccomended a ticket to bring us up to mountain and got us a discount, an amazing day out. My friend was feeling unwell and she really looked after her. She also suggest we get a boat from interlaken west to toon on our way back to Zurich airport and this was another brilliant reccomendation. There is a little shop and a pub on site and it was great craic. We also got some yummy chcolate checking out :). Thanks to all at Hostel Schutzenbach for a fabulous stay.

We liked everything and we had wonderful time there. -The owner was extremely nice, friendly and welcoming. He made our stay so pleasant and memorable. -The room was so clean, very big and equipped with up to date facilities. -Everything for cooking and eating was provided in the kitchen. Additionally, drinks are provided in the fridge for a very cheap price even cheaper than coop.

I love their breakfast, the view from our windows, the friendly staff, the dining/lounge area, and the overall cleanliness everywhere! Five francs a day for parking is okay.

They are very nice in the reception, they do their best to respond to your special requests. The hotel is very well located, in the center of the city, very near the train station. I was able to leave my luggage even after my check out. I really appreciate my stay there.

Reopened in April 2018 after extensive refurbishment and surrounded by a quiet garden with a terrace outdoor chess and morris, this youth hostel in the centre of Bern is just a 5-minute walk from the Swiss Parliament and the Aare River. Free Wi-Fi is available. Everything! One of the best hostels I've been in. The food was amazing, breakfast included was sooo good! Variety, flavour, cleaness, everything! The staff was so friendly, they even told me the best recommendations to go for a run and a walking tour in the city.

Only 1.5 km from the ski lifts, this youth hostel is located in Grindelwald. The sun terrace and the lovely breakfast room have beautiful views of the Bernese Alps. Packed lunches are available.

All rooms at Youth Hostel Grindelwald have wooden furniture and offer nice mountain views. This place is perfect. I loved the view, the building, vibe and staffs. Breakfast was amazing and complete.
