The location is a bit far from the central station, but it is very calm and perfect to start the hiking trails. The building has a classic swiss aspect from the outside but it is very modern on the inside. A very good and comfortable accommodation in general.

The best place I've ever stayed in the mountains, I arrived late as I got a little lost on my bike. The owner made me spaghetti bolognese after the kitchen had closed, I am really thankful for that after a hard day on the bike. The situation and setting of the place is incredible. Straight away you can walk up the mountains, bike or just relax. I wish I'd stayed there for longer. I actually had the dormitory to myself and he still made me breaking at 7-30 just me in the restaurant. Proper mountain breakfast and then a walk up to almost 3000m!

Good option if you have a vehicle/rental car and plan to go to Zermatt but not stay in the car-free village. The restaurant down below is so handy and the food is excellent! The staff especially Daniel are the best.

Among the various facilities are a bar and a ski pass sales point. The hostel features an indoor pool, evening entertainment and a concierge service. The recent refurbishment is classy and stylish. The pool is swanky with huge windows looking out over the mountains, ditto for the spa which is 13chf extra per day and worth a visit. Breakfast is ample with lots of choice. No complaints at all! Staff are nice too. I stayed in a mixed dormitory because the hotel was full so no female dorms were set up. The room was big. For a youth hostel it’s not cheap but what can I say, it is Switzerland so what can you do? It’s a 7 minute walk to the funicular which drops you into the ski resort. I loved the skiing. Lots of red runs and many drag lifts.

This was my highlight staying in Switzerland! There is a literal waterfall 2 mins away from the hotel. What else could you ask for? Property had EVERYTHING you would wish for in a house. Full kitchen, bathroom, multiple rooms, tons of beds ... And the front desk person awesome! If you are planning to visit Zermatt, you must book here! It is about half an hour from Tasch, but the drive is just as beautiful! 10 stars from me!
