It is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city in the countryside but is easily and cheaply accessible with regular jeeps. In the morning you can hear lots of birds, cozy and well furnished.

The rooms are clean and private and quiet. The location is wonderful. This place is family owned and they make you feel right at home as well as providing maps and travel advice for thing in and around the city. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.

Everything at Tukawa was spot on. The staff were not only very nice, but also very professional. The views are breathtaking and the activities they offer are much better than what you would get in the area, as they are more authentic and less touristy. The place is very clean and the food quite tasty. When I was there they had three options for breakfast, so definitely more varied than in other places in the area.

We booked here for an overnight stay to get from Salento to Bogota (as many people do here) and it was the perfect decision. When you arrive in Armenia bus terminal just take a Taxi which should costs 5K Pesos and brings you there in 5 minutes. If they haven’t changed it yet, the pin on google maps points to the wrong house on the other side of the street, but for the taxi drop-off that doesn‘t matter much. You are welcomed by a super friendly elderly couple, José and Estrella. Simple, cosy and quiet rooms with one shared bathroom on the same floor – everything very clean. They serve you a very decent colombian breakfast on the veranda in front of a beautiful garden, sometimes even a bird-watching spectacle included ;-) It was definitely one of the most lovely experiences with hosts in our 3-month Colombia journey. To get back to the bus terminal on the next morning, Estrella just called a taxi for us. It arrived 5 minutes after. Everything super easy and enjoyable.

The owners Juan and Caro are incredible friendly and helpful. The property is a few kilometers outside of the town of Salento, but there's a bus that comes every 20mins. We preferred to be a bit more in the nature, so it was a perfect for us. The building is quite new and was designed by Juan himself. It has a jungle treehouse kind of feel. There is a Jacuzzi to use at nighttime, which is perfect to relax after hiking the Cocora Valley. Also there's a fireplace to cosy up next to in the evening. They have 2 beautiful dogs that are very sweet and friendly. There's drinks and food available, but if you want a party hostel vibe, this isn't the place for you. There's places in Salento if you want that. All in all, Casa Mochila was an amazing place to stay and I will be dreaming about it for years to come. Thank you Juan and Caro!!!

Set in Salento, 26 km from Santa Rosa de Cabal, Hostal Familiar Jerico features free WiFi access. Certain units include a seating area to relax in after a busy day. Highly recommend staying here! Martha is such a kind host. She provides you with lots of suggestions of things to do in the area and is always a friendly welcoming face. The light breakfast of cheesy bread, fruit and coffee was a lovely touch. The beds are really comfy. We stayed an extra night as we liked Salento and this accomodation so much!

Offering a restaurant, bar and free WiFi, Casa La Eliana is located in Salento. Rooms come with a private or shared bathroom. Colombian National Coffee Park is 46 km away. One of the best hostel I’ve stayed at in Colombia. Very clean and it’s close to everything, 4 mins walk from the bus station. There’s a well equipped kitchen if you want to cook anything. Jesus “the owner” is such an amazing person, he tried to help with everything, and also gives good recommendations of things to do and things to avoid. I highly recommend it

Above and beyond my expectations. Animals like horses a baby pigs hanging out next to the playground that was so awesome for our 3 years old boy. The two pools and jacuzzi very modern and clean.
