Located in the centre of Hiroshima, RED HELMET House & Sports Bar Hiroshima is situated less than 1 km from Myoei-ji Temple and a 11-minute walk from Hiroshima Station. With a bar, the 2-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. Private parking is available on site. The place is greatly located, it has a big common area and a complete kitchen within the same floor of the room. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the bed comfortable. The best of Red Helmet is the staff. They gave me a warm welcome; received a package for me and gave it to me when checking in; and I forgot something at the hotel and they went above and beyond to send it over. I would definitely go back to Red Helmet and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Hiroshima!

This 1-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and luggage storage space. The property is non-smoking and is situated 1.1 km from Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. I really recommend this hostel it is low key the CLEANEST and most comfortable I've ever been to. I literally don't want to leave but the trip must go on. The bed is spacious, shower and bathroom amazingly clean. Kitchen is small but equipped with everything you might need and all the utensils look like new. Location is good, there's tram stop nearby that gets you easily to the nearest jr train station if you need to move out of the city, there's also several bus lines that in a few stops bring you to Hiroshima Station. Extra points for the friendly staff. 10/10 experience.

At night the guests got together and chatted, and they seem to have lots of events where you can meet locals, too. The lodgings are simple but very clean, and I felt like my stuff was totally safe.
