It is a beautiful cozy hostel for ladies. I loved the interior and the plants outside the door. Very good location. The owner was very nice and helpful. 4 beds in one room. I made friends with the girls in the same room. It was a memorable trip although I only had 3 days. I had an amazing stay at this backpacker hostel in Penang! The location is absolutely perfect, just a short walk to numerous attractions, restaurants, and bars. It made exploring the city incredibly convenient. The bed was super comfy, ensuring a great night’s sleep after a day of adventures. The common area is spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing or socializing. There’s always something fun happening every night, from movie nights and pool tournaments to live acoustic performances, making it easy to meet fellow travelers and enjoy the community vibe. The real standout is the staff. Every one of them was incredibly welcoming and friendly, going out of their way to make sure guests feel at home. Their hospitality truly enhanced the experience, and it’s a big reason why I’d return to this hostel the next time I visit Penang. It’s a wonderful hostel with a perfect mix of comfort, activities, and exceptional service. Highly recommend!

We stayed at 2 different Aayu locations while in Penang and this one was our favorite! It's a bit more quiet near Beach Street, which we enjoyed. The location was really good, near to the jetties and food markets. Wi-Fi was good, the bed was comfortable, and the room had plenty of space. There were plenty of bathrooms around, filtered water in the kitchen, and a nice area to hang out in. They also send you some great recommendations for food and sights to see upon arrival.

Clean, tidy, comfortable, quiet, modern with all necessary facilities. Dorms have no windows but it did not bother me as they are spacious enough. AC works perfectly. Communication with the staff was smooth and helpful.

The staff are incredible, Shane was truly amazing. They helped us check in early and then also we got the checkout time wrong and they allowed us a late checkout. Extremely kind of them! Also, the property is clean and everything works perfectly. Great little common space as well. Location is also perfect!
