Chalet HOLLERHAUS in St. Johann in Tirol Chalet Hollerhaus is a traditional wooden semi-detached chalet, located at the foot of the Harschbichlbahn – directly on the ski slopes of the Kitzbüheler Horn, in the middle of a charming settlement with wooden houses and chalets. Two private parking spaces are available right in front of the house. The chalet accommodates up to 6 guests in three bedrooms: Upper floor: a master bedroom with double bed, movable wardrobe, and private bathroom. Right next door is another double bedroom, connected to a small office corner and stairs leading to the ground floor. ⚠️ Please note: the stairs are quite steep – important information for families with small children. Ground floor: here you will find the kitchen, entrance area, a small bathroom (with shower, WC, sink, and washing machine), as well as a children’s bedroom with bunk bed (lower bed: 180 cm long, 90 cm wide; upper bed: standard size). The heart of the house is the fireplace and the traditional tiled stove, which heat the entire chalet. In winter, it is usually enough to add wood once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Instructions for use are provided. The spacious living room is cozy and furnished with a dining area. Outside, a large garden with a small sauna cottage awaits you. In winter, there is also a ski storage room and a ski boot dryer. Amenities include: TV in every room Wi-Fi additional electric heaters for extra comfort fully equipped kitchen with oven, induction stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, washing machine, and a JURA bean-to-cup coffee machine Everything is decorated in a traditional Tyrolean style – warm, cozy, and with the charm of times gone by.
Our Chalet HOLLERHAUS in Tirol We are a couple living abroad, but in Tirol we have kept a second home: the historic Chalet HOLLERHAUS, built in 1986 – located directly on the ski slope. Everything you find in the house has its own story. Hollerhaus is not a modern retreat, but a classic and traditional one. If you are looking to spend your holiday in the mountains in an authentic style, this is the right place for you. Heating is done with a real fireplace and a traditional tiled stove – it doesn’t get cozier than that. Take time to browse through the books that mean a lot to us, or look at the old photos of our parents skiing – from a time when there were hardly any ski lifts in the area. Come to St. Johann and take a little journey back in time. Whether in summer or winter – Chalet HOLLERHAUS has a very special charm in every season.
St. Johann in Tirol – Variety at Any Time of Year In winter, St. Johann attracts visitors with a family-friendly ski area on the Kitzbüheler Horn: perfectly groomed slopes, modern lifts, ski schools, and cozy mountain huts guarantee enjoyment both on and off the pistes. Cross-country trails and winter hiking paths are also easily accessible. In summer, the region transforms into a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts: countless hiking and biking trails, climbing routes, and mountain lakes invite you to explore nature. The panoramic views of the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Wilder Kaiser are especially breathtaking. Culinary delights are abundant: from traditional Tyrolean taverns and modern restaurants to rustic alpine huts serving local specialties such as dumplings, Kaiserschmarrn, or Tyrolean speck. St. Johann is also rich in culture: the weekly farmers’ market, music and folk festivals, concerts, theater performances, and events such as the famous Knödelfest make the town vibrant throughout the year. Whether winter or summer – St. Johann in Tirol combines nature, sports, cuisine, and culture into an unforgettable holiday experience.
