Welcome to our "Haus am Berch" ("House on the Mountain" in local dialect) - your 18m² studio apartment with panoramic views over the valley and mountains. The thoughtful design combines high-quality furnishings with special details: a comfortable double bed (160 × 200cm, also convertible into two single beds) and an exceptional kitchen – crafted from a historic workbench, equipped with an espresso machine for genuine coffee enjoyment. Underfloor heating, Smart TV, and high-speed WiFi are part of the modern basic amenities. The elegant bathroom features a rain shower, Mediterranean travertine tiles, and turquoise accents. Large windows facing east and south make the apartment bright and flooded with light – in the morning, enjoy the first rays of sun and mountain views from your bench in the garden.
When we — Alex and Michael — discovered this sun-blessed property with its unobstructed mountain views in May, it was love at first sight. The unique hillside location, sunshine from morning to evening, and the charming historic building on the grounds captured our hearts immediately. Creativity and craftsmanship shape our daily lives: Michael creates exclusive leather pieces in his manufacture in Villach (and shares his knowledge through leather crafting workshops), while Alex develops innovative ideas in her advertising agency. This passion for the extraordinary is reflected in our "Haus am Berch". As cosmopolitan people and passionate motorcyclists, we welcome guests from near and far — communication is possible in German and English. We want to ensure you have a relaxing stay in the beautiful region of Carinthia.
Our "Haus am Berch" is idyllically situated in the municipality of Weißenstein, nestled in the picturesque mountain landscape of Carinthia. The quiet location at the end of a cul-de-sac offers you the perfect starting point for various excursions. Just 4 km away, in Feistritz an der Drau, you'll find all the amenities for daily needs: various supermarkets, pharmacy, drugstore, and other shops ensure optimal convenience during your stay. The central location makes your apartment an ideal base camp for excursions: Lake Millstätter (25 min), Lake Ossiacher and Lake Afritzer (22 min each) invite you to swim and enjoy water sports. Ski enthusiasts can reach the Goldeck ski area and Ski Eldorado in just 28 minutes. The cities of Villach (20 min) and Spittal an der Drau (24 min) offer cultural highlights and shopping opportunities. From here, you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the valley and the surrounding mountains up to the Mittagskogel at Lake Faaker — the perfect backdrop for your holiday in Carinthia.
