We run an organic farm. Our products are milk, bread, grain, flour and eggs. Besides we also produce and ship teas made from herbs of local collectors (including some from our farm). Guests are welcome to have a look at our different activities. Some of them even want to lend a hand or watch and stroke animals in the stable or on the pasture.

We, that are Helga and Hannes, run the farm since 2016 when we took it over from Hannes' parents (Friedl and Kathi). Friedl transformed the farm already in the early nineties to organic, probably being the first in the local community (Irschen). Hannes is computer scientiest-turned-farmer, Helga used to work in media industry.

Our area (Drautal) is a glacial terrain, a deep, relatively flat valley bordered by steep mountains. The difference in altitude is in some parts over 2000m, attractive for hiking and for paragliding as well. (Emberger Alm, about half an hour with car, is one of the top flying areas of the Alpes.) Also a relic from ice age are the various lakes in Carinthia. One of them lake Weissensee, some 30km from our house. Some popular day trips (depending on the season) are Baggersee-Kletterpark Greifenburg (a lake for swimming combined with a rope course), animal park Assling, Schloss Bruck (a castle housing various art exhibitions), ski resorts Zettersfeld, Hochstein, Emberger Alm, Canyoning in the Fragant gorge, ice skating on lake Weissensee, mountain hut Hugo-Gerbershütte (2500m), Hochstadel including rest at a mountain hut, Scharnik (another peak), open air baths in Oberdrauburg, Irschen and Dellach. Mentioned lake Weissensee has an elevation of 930m, still having a temperature of up to 24 deg Celsius (75 deg F). Visitors come for swimming, hiking, boat riding, surfing, family-fishwatching or simply for a comfortable ship tour to various landing stages.
