Our first-class equipped Lagom House is situated on a sunny 1.600 sqm property in Austria's popular 'Salzkammergut'. It was just finished at the beginning of 2023. Like every Lagom House it was completely built out of environmentally sustainable materials. The calm and remote location on 800 meters above sea level is especially preferred by nature-lovers and people searching for recreation. But it is also an ideal holiday spot for sports-enthusiastic guests from all over the world. Our chalet is situated in a very small housing settlement on a beautiful mountain, 5km away from the centre of Pinsdorf near Gmunden. You can march straight from the house a really nice and family-friendly hiking trail or try one of the numerous other hike paths for every level around this region. For those who prefer to go on two wheels, there are lots of mountainbike-trails to choose from. A special one can be started directly in front of our house. Runners can follow a beautiful path through the nearby forrest and those seeking for relaxation can enjoy the calmness far away from the hustle and bustle down in the cities or daily-life routine. Yoga-friends might like the possibility to exercise on our sunny terrace or down in the lawn.

We - Marion and Christoph - are the founder of LAGOM HOUSE. Our company specializes in ecologically produced modular tiny houses. This Lagom holidayhome is our prototype and can be rented for vacation. Personally, we love to travel around the world and if we do so, we prefer isolated and calm resorts with lots of nature and panoramic views. Modern, well-equipped, comfortable, with enough privacy and close to nature - that's what we premise when travelling and thus offer to all our guests. Because of its wide range of entertainment and possible activities, Gmunden and its surrounding is popular with people of all ages all year round. The local recreation area and hiking paradise on Gmunden's local mountain 'Grünberg' offers a lot of options to enjoy the wonderful view over lake Traunsee from the summit! If you want, the cable car takes you up to the top, alternatively you can walk a nice trail up the mountain. The top station of the cable car is a good starting point for hiking further on to a beautiful small lake called 'Laudachsee' or if you are an enthusiastic mountaineer you can continue and climb the challenging 'Traunstein'. The'Grünberg' awaits you with lots of attractions. Maybe the most important is the summer toboggan run, which is - with 1,4km - one of the longest ones in Austria. Furthermore the Restaurant "Grünbergalm" directly at the top station got renewed and a short barrier free footpath round the top of Grünberg got built. The Grünberg offers a great panorama above the clouds down to the beautiful 'Traunsee' lake anyway, but on the new treetop walk you will experience further unique perspectives high above the forest floor with breathtaking panoramic views of the lake Traunsee and Gmunden. There is also a lookout with a tower of 39 meters in height. A beautiful summer day at either lake Traunsee or Attersee and it's various options for activies on or in the waters are an absolute must. If you like it less crowded and more off the beaten tracks there are plenty of smaller lakes amongst mountains like the Offensee or the Langbathseen where you can spend a wonderful day. The so called 'Weißenbachtal' is as well worth visiting. It known for its many gorgeous hiking and cycling possibilities. Autumn and winter are the seasons where down the valley it can often be quite misty. Up at Kronberg where our Lagom House is situated, you will mostly find sunshine and walks through snow-coverd winter wonderland can be breathtaking!
