The Chalet Vorderschuhzach is located in the middle of the Salzburg mountains - directly in the ski area Amade and Snow Space Salzburg - and in sight (3 km) from the city center of Sankt Johann im Pongau. The chalet is located in a secluded location with a wonderful mountain view (Hochkönigmassiv, Tennen- and Hagengebirge, Hohe Tauern). The furniture consists of self-made furniture, for heating you can use also wood from the own forest. The guests perceive the quietness and to be undisturbed, the view and the decor as special highlights.
The house "Vorderschuhzach" was built in the 70s. It has about 110m² living space. The house has a secluded location at 1000 meters above sea level, mountain views, with its own meadows and forest and its own source. The interior is mostly handmade (pine wood). In the forest a "tree house hotel" is created. On request, an art studio (wood printing workshop) can be shared.
I designed and furnished the chalet to my specifications.
In spring, summer and autumn I organize various art courses, workshops and a symposium with international participants.
Travel, art, photography and archeology are my hobbies.
Directly from the house you can reach on foot the toboggan run (500 meters away and illuminated at night) and the ski area "Hahnbaum - Ski Amade". Walks to various huts, mountain tours (Hochgründeck) and mountain bike trails are possible from the house. The town of St.Johann / Pongau is within sight (3km away) - shopping, cinema, restaurants.
In the immediate vicinity is the Lichtensteinklamm, the Snow Space Salzburg, the Eisriesenwelt (biggest ice cave in the world), Hohenwerfen Castle, Goldegg Castle with its two lakes, the Goldgräbertal Rauris, the lake Jägersee and Tappenkarsee, the healing termes in Gastein, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, the reservoirs Kaprun , the Hohe Tauern National Park and waterfall in Krimml, the city of Salzburg, the Celtic city of Hallein, the Almental Grossarl-Hüttschlag.
