Kangarutha farm is nestled on the fringe of tall coastal forest close to the coastal town of Tathra. Wildlife abounds! Kangaroos, echidnas, frogs, and 100 species of birds are regularly seen throughout the property. 2 beautiful man made lakes encourage wildlife and we have several horses on the property which are looked after by local families.
The cottage consists of 2 buildings. The main cottage which sleeps 4 and the adjacent Annex/Lodge which also sleeps 4 with and a second bathroom. The kitchen and loungeroom are in the main building and also the main bathroom. The buildings are connected with a covered walkway.
The cottage is cosy with a rural feel and all linen is supplied. The kitchen and house are really well equipped.
The cottage is surrounded by gardens and a fenced yard with a tennis court. Great to keep the kids busy! Beyond the fence there are some lovely walks through coastal forest or through to the Bournda National Park on the coast
The farm is ideally located just 1.6 km from Tathra. Beautiful beaches are only minutes away.
We also live at Kangarutha Farm . Our home is a couple of paddocks from the Cottage so your privacy is ensured but we are always contactable if you need us. Our family with grandchildren also live on another part of the farm. Our property is pretty special. It is hidden from passing traffic, quiet. Wildlife is plentiful and the forest trails showcase tall coastal trees, fungi, insects, birds and animals. We often see eagles, Glossy Black Cockatoos, echidnas, ringtail possoms and gliders and more.
Kangarutha Farm adjoins Bournda National Park and trails lead to the coast and the Kangarutha Coastal Walk.
Our family also host a function facility for group meetings, functions and occasional plant sales and entertainment. there is also limited camping at Kangarutha Farm by appointment.
We are always happy to share our property, for guests to also enjoy what there is to offer. The property is very close to Tathra and all it has to offer, or the beautiful Bega Valley at large.
