As you amble down the driveway, the hustle and bustle of life drifts away and the effervescent South West bushland takes its place, enveloping you like a welcome-home embrace. There’s so much to fall in love with at Killara. This property is sprawled across one level, with easy access to everything you’ll possibly need for a charmed stay. The dramatic cathedral ceiling allows for sunlight to stream through the house, warming up the interior and bringing a glorious morning exuberance to the day. With wooden flooring, furnishings in dove grey and white and a natural stone fireplace, you’ll be kicking off your shoes and easing yourself onto the sofa within minutes of arriving. Take advantage of the sumptuous bathtub, sprawling deck – perfect for hosting merry evenings under the stars – four bedrooms and two bathrooms and the 10-seat dining table for when it’s time to retreat indoors for deep conversation over a glass of wine. The kitchen is fully appointed and is a great space for those who like to whip up a gourmet meal. And if you want to stay active, head out to a trail nearby or stay at home to play table tennis or use the supplied gym equipment. When the sun dips below the horizon and the inky darkness takes over, don’t forget to look up. The starry night sky here is hypnotic and, with the southern hemisphere privy to the best views of the Milky Way, it makes for a surreal and humbling experience.
