Holiday home De Lokroep not only has a garden, but also an impressive flower meadow of 400m2 with several terraces. The house is very cosy and stylishly decorated and was officially awarded 5 stars. Just have a look at our pictures.
De Lokroep has 3 bedrooms with private sanitary facilities, a spacious living room with 3-metre-high windows and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen opening onto a terrace. On top of the large garden there is also a private flower meadow of several hundred square meters.
On the ground floor you will find a large bedroom with sofa(bed), tv, adjoining bathroom and desk corner. A beautiful wide wooden staircase with guest toilet leads you to a 2nd large bedroom (1st floor) with sofa(bed), tv and adjacent bathroom & private outdoor terrace, and then to the second floor -the mezzanine- with its own toilet and washbasin.
The 2 largest bedrooms have very comfortable box-spring beds (1.80m wide) and all beds have anti-allergic bamboo mattresses that guarantee a blissful night's sleep.
Amenities for longer stays: washing machine, dryer, ironing board & iron, big fridge and freezer units, microwave/combi oven, dishwasher, induction hob, storage cupboards, coffee and nespresso machine, kettle, toaster,..
Nice inn at walking distance, as well as farmhouse ice.
Covered bike shed. Completely fenced in garden and parking in front of the house.
The groundfloor rooms (including a bedroom with adjoining bathroom) and the front door (side entrance) have extra wide doors and no stairs.
De Lokroep offers all the facilities you could want for a stress-free vacation: free parking onsite, a cosy lounge area with a gas fireplace and television, 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms and a guest toilet in the entry hall, beds with wonderfully comfortable boxsprings and high-quality mattresses, several terraces, free Wi-Fi, digicorder and in-floor groundfloor heating.
The Lokroep has also been visited by a number of artists whose works we sometimes purchase.

Located in the rural village of Vechmaal, the Lokroep is centrally located for city trips to Borgloon, Tongeren, Sint-Truiden, Liège, Maastricht,... The Lokroep is the ideal base for numerous hiking and cycling trips. Numerous walking and cycling maps are available in the house.
Bicycles can be safely stored in a lockable bicycle shed in the garden.

- Greenspot walks, including 3 signposted Greenspot Heks walks with starting point 400 metres from the holiday home
- Verborgen Moois walks, including Lauw at 3 km from the holiday home, the Castle of Heers and the Hornebos, a last piece of forest that once covered all of Haspengouw.
- Nature reserve De Kevie located between Tongeren and Mal, managed by Natuurpunt and covering about 35 ha.
