With its celebrated annual Jazz Festival, the extraordinarily mild climate is what prompted people to refer to Montreux as the capital of the Vaud Riviera. Montreux is perfectly situated for enjoying some superb Alpine resorts, which are great all year round, there is plenty to see and do in the area, and however long your trip, it will never be long enough to enjoy the beauty that Switzerland has to offer.
