The Tangsø Center has existed since 1974 when the swimming pool was built, followed by the sports hall in 1976. Since then, additional facilities have been added, including a health department with a fitness center, wellness area, kitchen department with a cultural hall, and banquet halls. Approximately 550 residents live in Bækmarksbro, but the Tangsø Center receives weekly visits from between 3,000-4,000 people who come for physiotherapy treatments, participate in club activities on land and in water, or attend our private after-school program with 50 children.

The cabins are located in the southern part of Lemvig Municipality. In Lemvig Municipality, the North Sea and the Fjord are always popular attractions, and Lemvig Harbor, Thyborøn Town, the beach and harbor, as well as Bovbjerg Lighthouse, are worth a visit. It is not far to Holstebro, Struer, or Ringkøbing.
