David and Tracy have lived in Competa for eight years and have fallen in love with the village and the whole area of the Axarquia region of Andalucia. With this they decided to make use of their large townhouse and have modernised it and turned it in to a beautiful bed and breakfast so that people can come and see for themselves what a delight the area and the people are.

KiCo Bed and Breakfast is situated in the heart of Competa adjacent to the main square and the church. The original building is believed to be one of the oldest central Competa houses. Part of the ground floor was used as a stable where the Mules and chickens were kept. the other part of the ground floor was a tobacco /cigarette factory. In more recent history it was the home of the village picture framer and artist wife. Since becoming the new owners the house has undergone an extensive reform and re decoration to make it a modern contemporary style property. As you enter the house there is a large welcoming entrance hallway with the facility to store bikes, walking equipment golf clubs and suitcases. There is an excellent bus service every day to the coast, where you can spend all day at the beach and to Malaga where you can explore and shop. Our very stylish newly reformed luxury double ensuite bedrooms come with King or Queen size beds with sumptuous mattresses .The bathrooms have walk in style showers with hand held and rain shower heads, with towel radiator (towels are provided), vanity unit sinks, light up over sink mirrors and a power point. The rooms have individual air conditioning, smart tv, tea and coffee making facilities. The twin room comes with two modern comfortable single beds with luxury mattresses with a large separate bathroom for the sole use of the occupants. As with the double rooms it has air conditioning a smart tv and tea and coffee making facility. Kico Bed and Breakfast has five floors including the roof terrace .The terrace boasts stunning views of the surrounding mountains and of the Mediterranean Sea where you can see Africa and Gibraltar. In the warm months breakfast will be served on the roof terrace, there will be a choice of tea,coffee, fruit juice and continental style breakfast. There is an honesty bar stocked with a selection of wines ,beers, soft drink, coffee tea snacks and cakes.

There are many activities available,walking, hiking, swimming, tennis,padel ,golf ,cycling mountain and road. You can also do adventure trips. There are many bars and restaurants in the village.
