15 minute drive will get you to the town of Vire, the Normandy landing beaches are less than an hour away and the beautiful town of Bayeux a similar distance. There is a golf course 20minutes from the property .
for those interested in the local history The family which the village is named after was also given land in Somerset following the conquest of England by William the conqueror in 1066.
During WW11 the village was occupied by the German army and significant battles took place in the surrounding countryside after the allied invasion .D Day celebrations are still held on the 6th of June every year in various villages throughout Valdalliere
