Brookside, Hawkshead is located on the edge of the popular Lake District village. Hawkshead has it all, cobbled streets, white washed buildings, eateries, independent shops and friendly village inns. Located on the edge of the village but within a short walk of the centre, Brookside has its own private parking, an added bonus for the car free village and garden ideal for lazy summer days. Perfect for a family or couples looking for a base from which to explore the western shores of Lake Windermere with Hilltop, Beatrix Potters farm, its connections to William Wordsworth, the Hawkshead Chocolate Factory, the Lakes Aquarium and other attractions all within a short drive. The spacious house has a welcoming sitting room with comfy seating arranged around the electric wood burning stove and TV. Rustle up family feasts in the dining kitchen with everything needed to prepare a delicious home cooked meal including a gas Rangemaster with electric double oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Enjoy leisurely breakfasts at the dining table while you plan your day ahead. The second sitting room is perfect for the kids to enjoy their own TV or to escape to a quiet place with the latest novel. There is also a ground floor cloakroom with shower to freshen up. The first floor has 2 double bedrooms and a twin bedroom each promising a restful nights sleep. The modern bathroom has a shower over bath. All gas, electric, bed linen and towels provided. Cot and highchair available. Private parking for 3 cars. Garden with patio area with dining table and chairs for al fresco dining or relaxing with a glass of wine on a summers evening.

Coniston Water and the Bluebird Museum is within 4 miles and Grizedale Forest with its walking and mountain bike trails, Go Ape and observatory provide sedate woodland walks or adrenaline fuelled adventure. Surrounding footpaths lead through woodland and open countryside, inviting leisurely walks to Esthwaite Water or up to scenic viewpoints.
