「I loved the location - I could see the guesthouse as soon as I got off the train, and it was near to the pub and several local restaurants, and around a 10-15 minute walk from the beach and marina. The hosts were really lovely too, and made me...」
The Globe started providing hospitality in the heart of Burry Port in 1832.
The Globe is in the heart of Burry Port, which is a lovely little sea side town in South Wales facing out across the estuary to the Gower Peninsular.
Close to hand we have the astonishing beauty of the blue flagged Cefn Sidan (Pembrey) beach with it's 8 miles of golden unspoilt sands. Next to the beach is the Pembrey Country park with 500 acres of woodland to explore, a dry ski slope and toboggan run, a horse riding centre with direct access to 8,000 acres of unspoilt woodland as well as the beach. Also close by is the Ffoss Las Horse racing course, and the Pembrey car racing circuit.
We are on the Welsh coastal path, as well as the Sustrans cycle route from London.
