Company information

Rhydgaled became our home in December 2014 and we have grown our smallholding from here. Our doors opened to bed and breakfast guests in April 2019 offering a farmstay experience in a peaceful and quiet rural location. We are on hand to answer any questions but also leave you to enjoy the space by yourselves without intrusion. I

Property information

Our Farmstay Bed & Breakfast is more than just a bedroom - you have an entire self-contained suite with a large living/breakfast room There's super comfy reclining sofa and chair and a woodburning stove. There is no kitchen. The view from the dining table looks out over the garden and bird feeder and whether you're enjoying our farmhouse breakfast offering or an afternoon cuppa, there's plenty of space to relax. The bedroom provides a king size and single bed and either a travel cot or futon sofa-bed can be added to sleep up to either 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. NB it is only one bedroom. We welcome well-behaved dogs by arrangement. We have our own, very friendly dog as well as house-cats as well as farm livestock and so dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the bedroom but have plenty of space to stay in adjoining the living/breakfast room which is only separated by a door - and a stairgate can be provided if your dog would be worried by a closed door. You can enjoy a walk in the forest directly from the door or head to the local tourist attractions including beautiful beaches, seaside towns and mountains.

Neighbourhood information

We are located on a 26 acre smallholding at the end of a track. Whilst this is not a council maintained tarmac road, we keep it in good condition so that it is easy to navigate - slowly - in anything other than a very low sports car. Being on a farm does mean we are NOT next door to shops/restaurants etc - you will need to drive to these amenities. We have some lovely - and award winning - places to eat just a short distance away. Aberaeron is a coastal town and hosts a variety of shops & eateries and is approximately 8 miles away - about 20 minutes drive. There is a well stocked shop & post office at Cross Inn - just 5 minutes away. If you're bringing a four-legged friend, you can access forestry tracks directly from the farm. There are some beautiful beaches within a short driving distance, family-friendly activities and seaside towns to explore.
