Town centre location within walking distance to all the restaurants, bars and shops in Oakham. The rooms are situated down a courtyard at the rear of Cafe Aroma. They are above Cafe Terry, a popular cafe which is fairly busy. Some noise from the restaurant may be heard in the rooms up until around 1030pm. This isn’t a problem for most people but please be aware. As we are in the centre of town there may also be general noise and hustle and bustle as you would expect. There is a church nearby (Church Street !) with chiming bells especially on a Sunday Morning. This is usually a peaceful location but it cannot be guaranteed to be quiet in the centre of town..

Oakham is a bustling vibrant market town bursting with history. Exclusive privately owned bars, restaurants and shops and a Costa Coffee next door which may occasionally be noisy. The rooms are situated above the very popular Orbis Restaurant Oakham school is easily accessible, as is Oakham Castle. There is a good rail and bus service to and from Oakham, timetables can be accessed on line. Markets days in Oakham are Wednesday and Saturday Beautiful Rutland Water is just a short drive away The market towns if Uppingham, Melton Mowbray and Stamford are no more than twenty minutes away by car
