Between King's Lynn to the east and Peterborough to the west is the sleepy Norfolk village of Emneth. The storied Domesday Book mentions the ancient village, which is best known for being the site of Hagbeach Hall, a mediaeval house that was destroyed in 1887, as well as the historic landmark of St. Edmund's Church, a 15th-century structure that still stands today. For stocking up on necessities, the village has a post office and a convenience shop. Visitors may also grab a coffee at the Sweet Things Savoury cafe or a takeaway meal at the Jade Garden. A short drive to the north will take you to Wisbech, a market town bursting with things to do and see, such as wandering the grounds of the National Trust landmark Peckover House and Garden, catching a movie at the Luxe Cinema, or brushing up on local history at the Wisbech & Fenland Museum. Nearby Elm offers additional dining options, including traditional pub fare at The Sportsman and The Elm Tree Inn.
