Louise’s Cider Barn is a little luxury haven in the middle of Devon, she was so welcoming and made sure everything was sorted for us, including prosecco and scones on arrival! Wow! Thank you for making our chill hen ‘zen’ do just what we wanted!...

Beautiful location and facilities wonderfully presented. Louise is a fabulous host and looked after us to make our stay most memorable. Quiet and peaceful with plenty of space to relax, unwind and take in the nature around.

Step into the Barn and you'll feel your worries and cares slip away as your holiday begins. This is a gentle space where calm colours and subtle French influences abound…
Timeless, rural Devon... deeply rural, winding lanes and a great place to explore. The Cider Barn is set between the ancient villages of Zeal Monachorum and North Tawton and is part of the historic Baronswood Manor darting back to 1492. While you may not want to leave the splendid rural isolation of The Cider Barn, it is superbly positioned for exploring both Devon and North Cornwall. It truly is a place where you can stick a pin in a map and ask… “where shall we go today?” The gateway to Dartmoor… Okehampton, lies just 8 miles away. The renowned jewel of the National Park, Chagford, with its gastro pubs and boutiques, is around 20 minutes away through some idyllic lanes (it’s a great place to enjoy lunch if you’ve visited the National Trust’s Castle Drogo). Head east to visit RHS Rhosemoor or the timeless charm of Clovelly or gems like Woolacombe or Croyde on the North Devon coast. If you’ve crossed Dartmoor National Park don’t miss out on the ultra-fashionable Salcombe, seeing the yachts at Dartmouth or perhaps pick up some antiques in the charming town of Ashburton. Exeter is a fabulous Roman city well worth a visit if only to enjoy lunch overlooking the Cathedral green. The Cider Barn is well positioned for memorable days out into Cornwall to Bude and NT Sandymouth (55 mins), Lanhydrock House (55 mins), Boscastle or Tintagel (60 mins), Port Issac (75 mins), Eden Project (75 mins), Padstow (90 mins).
