Sympathetically restored former farm Dairy oozing character, charm and cozy quirkiness! Situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and a short walk to the spectacular coastal path itself! A former farm, Trefechan Wen consists of the original farm buildings, the Cowshed, Dairy and Stables converted in recent years to provide high quality accommodation.. The original farmhouse is now a ruin and home to a family of jackdaws! We don't know the entire history of the property but we do know that it dates back to before the French Invasion of 1797, the last hostile invasion attempt of the UK, foiled by locals and preserved by local monuments and landmarks. Ancient history too is right on our doorstep with Garnwnda, a Neolithic Burial Chamber just on the hill behind our property. You can walk right up to the still intact entrance stones! From the top of Garnwnda (Garns are rocky outcrops) you’ll be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views up and down the coast and inland to the Preseli Hills. The area has so much to offer, you really do have to see it first hand to truly appreciate it. Welcome to our little piece of Pembrokeshire heaven!
Marty and Bev have several years of hosting experience, offer a warm friendly welcome and always happy to share a little local knowledge! Our home is your home, and we want you to have a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay in our little piece of Pembrokeshire heaven! We live on site in the converted stables and are here for you if you need anything during your stay. We like to meet our guests on arrival, provide a quick introduction and will take your cue as to whether you wish to be left alone or would like a little social interaction..
We are fortunate to be located in the Pembrokeshre Coast National Park, surrounded by nature, wildlife, farmland and fantastic scenery. Once here you will appreciate the remote feel of the place, yet we are easily accessed via A roads connecting the Fishguard Ferry Terminal to the rest of Wales and onward to the rest of the UK. Llanwnda is a small farming hamlet with an ancient church and Goodwick itself is a small seaside town with more amenities, shops and restaurants to be found in neighbouring Fishguard. Needless to say, it is not only peaceful here but incredibly safe.
