    Great location for local amenities and walking around the Northern part of High Weald. Very quiet position away from the nearest main road so was to be listening to the local wildlife rather than local traffic.

Hello and welcome! I’m thrilled that you are looking at one of our properties to rent. I am a professional landlord with other properties elsewhere to let via our business, Superlet Properties. I love finding old and interesting buildings and restoring them to have another life. I've done this for 40 years and been a landlord for the past 30 years. I love sharing my properties with other people so they can enjoy them as much as my family and I do. Every property we own as a family has been lived in and tried out by us to ensure that everything works, everything is comfortable and well maintained. I have travelled widely with my family, and have lived abroad for long periods of time, and so I understand the requirement for a “better than home” experience for guests. We pride ourselves on a very high level of cleanliness and comfort in our properties. We use professional cleaners and a laundry service as part of the team, and we regularly inspect everything to ensure it meets our high standards.

Property information

The Grannery is a cosy and comfortable, sunny (south-facing) one bedroomed, self-contained annexe with its own entrance, parking (1 only) and patio area with access to shared gardens overlooking the mill pond and farmland beyond. The property also has its own kitchen, shower room, Living and dining area. The Grannery is located on a farm and footpath with lots of lovely (shared) outdoor space so bring your walking boots and wellies. Ideal for up to 2 adults in a comfortable double bedroom, with the option to accommodate up to 2 children on the sofa bed. If you’d like to make use of the sofa bed—whether for little ones or simply for extra space—please let us know in advance, as there is an additional charge. Please note there is no TV at this property. There is a coffee machine, milk frother, dual hot plate and pans, microwave, crockery, cutlery and glassware so you can make light meals. There's also a washing machine and drying rack, with a heated towel rail in the bathroom. Please note a dehumidifier is provided as during the winter, without sufficient ventilation (ie windows cracked open) the Grannery needs a little help with moisture levels. Please use and empty the dehumidifier to prevent any condensation buildup. Parking is free for one car. There is a lovely walk through the farmyard into open Sussex countryside, plus many good local pubs and restaurants close by.

Neighbourhood information

Bartley Mill, where the Grannery is also located, is situated in a small hamlet, centred between three small villages, and about 8 minutes drive to the centre of Tunbridge Wells, yet in deep, quiet countryside. Because of our rural nature, the car is still the best way to get here. Alternatively, a bus service - 256- travels along the Bayham Abbey Road, the B2169, between Bells Yew Green, and Frant train station, towards Lamberhurst. Our closest train station 1.5 miles away is Frant, on a direct line from Charing Cross, Waterloo, London Bridge and Cannon Street in London. There are plenty of shops and pubs within a 3 mile radius, plus some great attractions such as golf, horse riding, tennis and day trips to the coast, heritage properties and gardens to add in to your stay. Tunbridge Wells is our closest large town and Wadhurst, Lamberhurst and Bells Yew Green are our closest villages with pubs and shops in each. We are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and situated on the edge of a farm with great walks and views. Bring your walking boots!
