The hazels
The house is in a beautiful quiet street on a no-through road cul de sac with ample parking for any manner of regular vehicle , it offers a lovely view over a large field to the vast woodlands beyond . Located on the border of England and Wales it’s a great location to enjoy the Forest ,Monmouth (4miles) and Herefordshire. The house has access directly into the forest perfect for walkers and very popular for mountain biking and dog walking with tracks a 30 second free wheel away from the door.
In the spring/summer the forest comes alive nature is all around and days can be lost exploring the huge woodlands directly opposite the house. The local pub offers fabulous locally sourced home cooked food and great ales and is the first /and last pub in England with the border town of Monmouth in Wales situated 3 miles down the hill. It the best location in the Forest to enjoy walks outdoor activities and good locally sourced food. We are the last village on the English border a mile over the village you are in Wales with so many lovely villages and towns to explore all within only a short drive away. It is a ten min drive off the A449 which links directly to the M4 and M5.You can walk to the pub in the center of the village and they are always cooking wood fired pizzas or a full locally sourced English breakfast at Broadstone campsite and fishery with a full bar serving nice cold drinks by the lakes a half mile drive out the village Monmouth way.
You must visit Yat rock at some point with lots of sign-posted walks and view point of the valley and river its a 5 min drive away.
As a family we have lived in The Forest of Dean for many years, it has been a brilliant place to enjoy the outdoors. We love good local food in the pubs and restaurants. Our favourite things to do are enjoy bike rides along the river Wye and walks with our pets in the Forest.
Very quiet street with nature and green spaces on the doorstep.
The house is behind the Church and has direct access to the woodlands
