About this property
Opposite a Grade I listed church, The Knife & Cleaver is a AA 4 Gold Star award winning guest house. It is situated in the picturesque village of Houghton Conquest, just 15 minutes’ drive from Bedford city centre and main line rail station of Ampthill. Countryside walks can be enjoyed in the surrounding area, or venture into Bedford to enjoy sights such as St Paul’s Square, River Great Ouse or Embankment Gardens. An en suite bathroom, free Wi-Fi and a TV are provided in each room at The Knife & Cleaver, and some come with a king-size bed. A fine dining restaurant serving a wide variety of modern British classics is available on-site, as well as a terrace for alfresco dining and drinking. A range of real ales can be enjoyed in the bar or in the beer garden.
