We enjoy growing our own vegetables organically and have a polytunnel where in the summer months we grow a variety of tomato plants, cucumbers, melons, salad crops, peppers and chillies. We have 3 goats and 6 chickens, who generally free range.

Todber is a hamlet set in North Dorset, near to the village of Marnhull (famous as Marlott); the setting for Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles. From Shaftesbury follow the A30 towards Exeter/ Sherborne. About 5 miles west of Shaftesbury turn LEFT at the crossroads at East Stour on to the B3092 to Sturminster Newton. After about 2 miles and having passed through Stour Provost you will see the Todber village sign , after about 200mtrs take the next LEFT on to Shave lane. you will need to slow up as the turning is hidden by a hedge. Continue down the lane, at the junction at the end of the lane continue straight ahead, signposted "Shaftesbury". After 40mtrs our entrance is the first on the left, between two chestnut trees, there are two unique gate posts! drive up the concrete track and park on the right. Our cottage is to the left, please come and knock on the door if we are not in sight. or try and ring, best mobile reception by the parking area! The hut is at the top of the field past the veg garden.
