The Old Store is a beautifully converted holiday home set in the heart of Portloe, one of Cornwall’s most picturesque and unspoiled fishing villages. Full of character, the property combines original features like exposed beams and a galleried landing with modern comforts. Just 150 metres from the harbour and beach, with private undercroft parking, it’s the perfect base for coastal adventures on the Roseland Peninsula.
The open-plan kitchen and dining area creates a welcoming space for cooking and gathering, with a fully equipped kitchen and a large table for eight. A separate utility room provides a second fridge, washer/dryer, and access to an outside storage area, perfect for stowing beach gear or walking boots. Upstairs, the vaulted sitting room with cosy log burner opens onto a timber terrace, offering views over the village, the sea in the distance, and Dodman Point.
The Old Store comfortably sleeps six guests across three thoughtfully designed bedrooms. The master bedroom features stunning exposed beams, a luxurious king-size bed, chest of drawers, hanging rail, bedside tables, and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom offers a double bed, chest of drawers, and hanging rail, while the third bedroom also features a double bed with charming coastal décor. A family bathroom with a bath and shower over, wash basin, and WC completes the upstairs layout.
Outside, a courtyard with seating provides a peaceful spot to enjoy the sea breeze. With private parking for one car, The Old Store is a rare find in such a traditional Cornish village.
