Stranraer is a lovely seaside town just an 8 minute drive (4.5 miles) from The Wee Sprout. There are some great shops such as Tesco, Farm foods, Argos, Peacocks and Morrisons as-well as pubs, restaurants and takeaways. We would highly recommend the fish and chips from the Starfish restaurant. A local Kingdom Hall is in the town centre. Free parking at a long stay car park. The P&O ferries Port is a 16 minute drive (9.6 miles) and has regular crossings to Larne (Ireland). The Stena Ferry Port is a 20 minute drive (11 miles) with regular crossings to Belfast (Ireland). Stranraer Railway station has a direct link with Glasgow central station. A bus service runs directly outside of the park which is a 408 stagecoach bus which you can “wave down”.
