Matala Caves is a beautiful seafront apartment located right on the shoreline of Matala beach, the most famous hippies' gathering place in Europe during the '60s. It has a stunning view of the prehistoric caves carved into the sandstone cliff, the beautiful sandy beach and the relaxing azure water. The apartment is located amongst bars and taverns, where you can enjoy a drink and taste the local kitchen. Please have in mind that there is often late-night music since Matala has a vibrant nightlife too:)
My name is George and i am your host. I currently reside in Heraklion,Crete. I look forward to meeting my future guests and introducing them to the beauty of Matala beach . Matala, a small fishing village, is the place where i used to spend my childhood summer holidays, surrounded by a golden sandy beach, a beautiful bay and the bright southern sun —the feeling of freedom in its purest form.
There are many cafes, restaurants, bars and late-night live music events around Matala beach. It is most suitable for people who want to spend their vacations exploring the scenery and the beautiful beaches, listening to music and enjoying their drinks partying by the sea until late. In conclusion,a fantastic destination for those that enjoy relaxation during the day and the bar style holiday that includes nightlife . Not ideal for those with something quiter in mind for their nights :)
