Guests are welcome to use the fully equipped shared kitchen, and every room comes with fresh linens, towels, soap, and paper essentials. We offer three thoughtfully designed rooms: • Private room with a double bed and en-suite bathroom • Spacious room with a double bed, a single bed, and en-suite bathroom • Cozy room with a double bed, a single bed, and an external private bathroom, located above the kitchen For those seeking a deeper experience, Temazcal (Mayan sweat lodge) Fire Ceremonies and Astrology Readings based on the Mayan Calendar are available upon request. I am a Maya Tz’utujil woman from San Juan La Laguna, Sololá, Guatemala. As a social therapist and Mayan spiritual guide, I have been holding ceremonies for over 20 years, keeping alive the traditions of my ancestors. At Nuevo Sol, I welcome you into a peaceful and authentic space with beautiful lake view surrounded by a beautiful garden, filled with medicinal plants and flowers. If you wish, I also offer traditional Mayan ceremonies and Temazcal. My home is open to you, and I am here for anything you need.
San Juan La Laguna is a peaceful Maya Tz’utujil village on the shores of Lake Atitlán, known for its strong traditions, vibrant art scene, and stunning natural beauty. It offers an authentic and quiet atmosphere, with colorful murals, family-run weaving cooperatives, organic coffee farms, and breathtaking viewpoints. Unlike the busier towns around the lake, San Juan is a place to slow down, appreciate the culture, and enjoy the simplicity of life by the water.
