The Cottage: This cottage is within walking distance to the lively village of Leenane and is located steps away from the breathtaking Killary Fjord. The Killary is Ireland’s only Fjord. A long deep inlet in the Atlantic Coast. The village of Leenane offers a few pubs and restaurants and a shop where you can get the essentials. Down the lane from where you’ll be staying is the Leenane Hotel where you can also dine for lunch and dinner or grab a pint and some grub in the hotel pub. Leenane is famous for being the village in the famous movie “The Field.” Leenane is the perfect location to spend your holiday in Connemara whether you’re seeking adventure, hillwalking, or exploring the sites with your family. There is a great walk known as the Famine Road alongside the Killary or explore the Killary itself on The Connemara Lady with Killary Fjord Boat Tours – we will even give you a discount on your trip. This is also a great location for discovering all of Connemara while only being 30 minutes from the stunning Mayo town of Westport. Inside: The cottage has two bedrooms located upstairs, one with a double and the other with a large double bed. There are 2 bathrooms with showers. The sitting room has a large couch with a flat screen TV for when you feel like relaxing. The kitchen is well-equipped with breakfast bar seating for the days you want to eat in.
