Anns and Pyarys Homestay is a heartfelt, family-run stay located in the peaceful hill town of Adimaly, just 40 minutes from Munnar. With only one private guest room and a balcony overlooking a small spice garden, this stay is ideal for travelers seeking calm, connection, and authentic Kerala hospitality.
The home is hosted by Biju and Pyary, a warm and resilient couple who have created a welcoming space where guests are treated like extended family. Their homestay reflects the values they live by — love, perseverance, and joy in simple things. The room is clean, well-ventilated, and decorated with subtle local touches. It includes an attached bathroom, basic amenities, and a balcony where guests can enjoy their morning tea with birdsong in the background.
One of the highlights of staying here is the opportunity to enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals by Pyary, who specializes in traditional Kerala cuisine, especially high-range vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies. Meals are made to order with love and care using local ingredients. Guests can also interact with Annmaria, the family’s daughter, a talented singer and an inspiring young woman who lives with a rare mobility condition. Her charm, optimism, and smile leave a deep impression on all who meet her.
This is not a commercial hotel, but a peaceful, authentic home — perfect for solo travelers, couples, or families who want more than just a place to sleep. Whether you’re here for a short break or a soulful retreat, Anns and Pyarys Homestay offers something unique — a genuine connection and a stay that lingers in your heart.
Your hosts at Anns and Pyarys Homestay are Biju and Pyary — a warm-hearted couple rooted deeply in Kerala’s values of love, resilience, and hospitality. Together with their children, they’ve opened their home not just to welcome guests, but to share life, stories, and joy.
Biju comes from a traditional farming family and continues to nurture his ancestral spice garden nearby. Alongside farming, he also co-runs a gold jewellery shop with friends in town. But beyond his work, Biju is known for his poetry, spontaneous songs, and the soulful energy he brings into every conversation. He believes in living with balance — finding time for his family, business, and community with unwavering dedication. Guests often find him to be more than a host — a storyteller, a motivator, and a true friend.
Pyary, born and raised in the Munnar high ranges, is a former school teacher who now dedicates her time to hosting, homemaking, and cooking. She has mastered the flavors of local Kerala cuisine and delights in preparing warm, homely meals for her guests. Her quiet strength and motherly care leave a lasting impression on everyone who visits.
Their daughter, Annmaria, is the true soul of the home. Diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at the age of 8, she now uses a wheelchair — but nothing dims her spirit. She’s a gifted singer, has performed on various television stages, and continues her higher education with courage and grace. Her dream of hosting guests and being part of their journey inspired the family to open their doors to travelers. Her presence adds unmatched charm and meaning to your stay.
Though their son Ben now works abroad, his love for the family is ever-present, and guests often feel this unity in the warm way the family cares for each other.
At Anns and Pyarys, you’ll be welcomed not by staff, but by a family — one that treats every guest as a cherished part of their lives.
