Very well built and sturdy house conveniently located uphill with nothing to block the view over the town, the harbour the bay and the mountains. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises in spring, summer and fall, only blocked in cloudy weather. All rooms and common areas are fairly new, the whole interior was built in 2015 and 2016 to the highest standards of security and insulation. Two bathrooms, one with a shower. Private parking lot for our guests in front of the entrance at the upper floor west end of the house. Bright lounge with a large sliding door to a roomy terrace. Fully equipped shared kitchen.

We are a retired couple. Dedicated cyclists, mountains or lowland. Flying private planes for decades. Probably a bit crazy for our age, but enjoying every moment of it. Amateur country singers with guitars, accordion, keyboard and other instruments. Love the atmosphere that creates in our house and on the terrace when having guests from various parts in the world getting aquainted and mingling, altough a total privacy is secured at all times.

We are conveniently located for exploring the whole Snaefelsness peninsula. Snaefelsjoekull National Park on the doorstep with all it´s adventures, amongst them the Glacier itself. The town of Olafsvik is a beautiful and quiet town despite a thriving modern fishing industry and gradually increasing number of tourists. Whale watching tours are run from the town several times a day. All the necessary facilities are in town, bank, pharmacy, supermarket, medical center, museums, cafés, bakery, you name it, we have it. Last but not least, superfriendly inhabitants. A remarkable theatre with shows and musical all year round is only a few minutes drive away. The famous and mysterious mountain Kirkjufell and the just so famous waterfall Kirkjufellsfoss only 15 minutes away in the friendly town Grundarfjordur. Volcano museum, boattrips
