Located on an old farm, Guesthouse Stekkatún is 600 metres from Vatnajökull National Park. It offers free parking and basic rooms with shared bathroom facilities. Thorbergssetur Museum is 25 km away.
Marked hiking trails lead from the property to the national park. Tours of the glacier are arranged every day.
From late May to early September, breakfast with homemade jam and bread is served each morning at Stekkatún Guesthouse. Free tea and coffee is available at all times.
Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon is 30 km away. Höfn town centre is 40 km from the guesthouse.
