Original North - is a small family business. The owner of the house was raised on the farm Vað in Þingeyjarsveit where the house is located. The house is renovated charming farmhouse in a quiet area only 50 meters from the river Skjálfandafljót. This area has a unique spirit where it is easy to relax in the nature.
We will focus on letting our guests feel welcome in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere created by the host family.
There is a lot of beautiful waterfalls and in the area, like Goðafoss, Aldeyjarfoss and Dettifoss. Húsavík town, the heart of whale watching in Iceland, is 27 km away. Geosea, a geothermal seabaths, is a nice place to visti at Húsavík. Lake Mývatn is 50 km away with its spectacular lava formations and volcanic craters and Nature Baths.
