Our property is originally a dairy farm, owned by the same family for more than 100 years. Some years ago we decided to open the farm for guests. They can experience the real farm life by watching our cows through a glass window from the restaurant and even try warm and fresh milk during milking time. We specialize in homemade and healthy products in our restaurant - from farm to table.
In 2004 we decided to build a guesthouse and now we have 26 rooms, all with private bathrooms and most with floor heating system. Traditional Icelandic breakfast is served in our Vogafjós restaurant, 3 minutes walk from the guesthouse. The rooms are classical and well furnished and designed to let our guests feel good and relax in a unique natural environment. There is free wifi in all rooms and public areas.
We are open all year round.

Our neighbourhood has a lot to offer. Unique nature, tranquility, rich birdlife, geothermal areas, volcanoes and much, much more.
In our area you can always find some activities that suit you. Super-Jeep tours, dogsledding, bike tours, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing and hiking are only examples of what you can do in the lake Mývatn area.
It is also amazing to travel to the highlands during the summertime and the lake Mývatn area is an ideal place to depart from.
Although all rates are quoted in EUR, please note that charges will be made in ISK according to the exchange rate of the day that the reservation is made.
