A stone's throw from Porta Terra, outside the walls, there is the nineteenth-century house belonged to Cesar Leone, often attended from pilgrims who headed to the Sanctuary of Leuca, for an image of the Virgin was found in a niche practiced in the wall at the top of the stairs ( which still exists today), there were standing and Leo offered some "compliment" as usava.Oggi we keep this memory in giving hospitality to those who wish to spend a particular holiday in the history of Salento.Difatti starting from our house you can walk through the old town Ruffano (among the best in the Salento) rich in the nineteenth century buildings and the five hundred and seven hundred churches, such as the famous Parish for its baroque architecture and paintings by Xavier Lillo, the Capuchin church of 600, the Basilian crypts Castle and houses a famous corte.Sono the Feast of Aie (July), the blues Festival (July), the Festival of Magna longa and the San Rocco Festival in August with a sword dance to the sound of tamburelli.Siamo surrounded by trulli, olive groves, three hills rich in vegetation and wildlife trails.

My name is Rosetta but everyone is Rossella and I work as a restorer activities of the wood, I attend a theater workshop and a polyphonic choir. Since 2005 I started this experience of welcome in the nineteenth-century house of my grandfather Cesare Leone already used for pilgrims to the Sanctuary of Leuca and there were standing devotion to an image of the Virgin found in a practiced niche in the wall at the top of the stairs (even existing) continuous .Today this memory in giving hospitality to those who wish to spend a particular holiday in the history of Salento.
