At an elevation of 1,645 m (5,396 ft), Colfosco is located at the foot of the Sella group (Grup dl Sela) and Mount Sassongher, on the edge of Puez-Odle Natural Park. The quite village is surrounded by forests and gentle slopes and offers numerous options for all those seeking relaxed holidays in a cosy environment. In summer, Colfosco is the starting point of a variety of walks and hikes and you can leave the car behind. Comfortable lifts allow a stress-free ascent, even with the mountain bike. In just a few hours of unhurried hike, you can reach impressive Dolomite landscapes such as the ones in the UNESCO natural park Puez-Odle. The Sella group is a particularly cherished destination for via ferrata enthu-siasts with its Pisciadù via ferrata and the Val Mezdì descent In winter, families visiting Colfosco particularly love the sunny Val Stella Alpina (Edelweiss valley), but the village is also the ideal starting point for the panorama ski tour Sellaronda and for thrilling ski tours such as the one leading to the Puez-Odle natural park and through the Val Mezdi valley in the Sella group (Grup dl Sela).
