Property information

The name of the Duca di Dolle has a nice history. Duke was the nickname that was given to one of the owners of the estate in the first half of 1900, Mr. Nino Mura. He was an eccentric and behaved like a "Lord of the estate." Inside the estate Nino organized many parties. He had many friends among the intellectuals of the time and in particular a strong friendship with the poet Andrea Zanzotto. Just Zanzotto gave the name "Dolle" to the village of Rolle trying to sweeten the sound of the word and especially to bring it closer to the sweetness and the roundness of the landscape of Rolle. Here then is the name Duca di Dolle in memory of the friendship between Nino Mura and Zanzotto.
