Sea Shell Palms is family owned and run by a CEO. The family has been established within Pompano Bay, Tower Isle and cares about the community. They began by providing lodging to locals returning from abroad and members of the Jamaican diaspora. They continue to welcome these guests in addition to travelers from across the world. Guests on property can relax in a quiet ambiance or explore less known Jamaican history right in the neighborhood.

Sea Shell Palms is 8 minutes out of Ocho Rios. The Hotel/B&B nestles guests in a tree-jotted setting with standard rooms and 2 bedroom suites. Only a stone's throw away is Rio Nuevo Battle Site where the largest battle on Jamaican soil took place in 1658 with Britain taking control of Jamaica from Spain. Farther along A3 Highway heading Boscobel taking the left at Cool Oasis Service Station and proceeding up that road is "Rio Nuevo Village" - a seafront Estate/Botanical Gardens/Museum (with river rafting) dating back to 900 AD and purported to house the largest collection of Taino (Jamaica original peoples) artefacts. Heading towards Ocho Rios is Yamaan Adventure Park, a1,000 acre estate with the widest varieties of local plants, Jamaica's first hydroelectric power plant, trees planted by Sir Winston Churchill and Henry Kissinger in addition to open-aired carriage, ATV and camel rides. Eateries around include PG's Restaurant & Wine Bar at Tower Cloisters, Baby Love's Twist and a sandwich bar at Pompano Commercial Complex, Moxons Beach Club Restaurant & Bar, Delly's Brick Oven Pizza, Reserve Road off A3 Highway and Yaaman Adventure Park's Restaurant.
