TAKUMI_AN is a private inn renovated by the host himself from an early Showa-era traditional Japanese house. Located in a quiet port town, surrounded by orchards stretching from the harbor to the mountains, TAKUMI_AN offers a unique experience of simple, unspoiled living. Equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi and a separate workspace, it's within walking distance of convenience stores and restaurants, and a nearby hot spring with natural hot spring water, making it ideal for long-term stays and workcations. Enjoy magnificent sunsets from the coast just a few minutes' walk away, and Mount Fuji rising from the cape across the water (not visible from the inn). Enjoy a bonfire or BBQ under the stars in the garden, or relax indoors in the theater or on a comfortable bed. Up to four guests can use the second-floor bedroom and first-floor living room separately, providing an especially relaxing stay. For groups of five or more, guests can lay out futons in the living room and enjoy a truly Japanese-style stay with multiple family members or friends. Sleeping on a futon on tatami mats, surrounded by the sounds of the fishing port and the croaking of frogs at night, is a uniquely Japanese experience. This lodging is especially popular with couples and small families, and is recommended for those who value privacy and want to enjoy nature and life at their own pace. It values a peaceful stay and is in harmony with local life.
Hello! I'm a self-build enthusiast and host. After building my own home and garage, I've been working on restoring traditional Japanese houses. All of the villas and traditional Japanese houses listed here are one-of-a-kind spaces that I designed and constructed myself. I will respect your privacy during your stay and will not interfere more than necessary. However, I'm always available to assist you with any issues or requests. I can also help with restaurant reservations and sightseeing. I may be a little unique, but I love thinking about space and manufacturing, and I've sprinkled little touches of excitement into my home. Please feel free to visit me.
Heda, Numazu City The name is pronounced "Heda." Machine translation sometimes translates it as "Toda." Please read it as "Heda." A quiet fishing port town surrounded by a calm bay and mountains. Enjoy a variety of natural activities, including summertime Mihama Beach and year-round fishing (from the breakwater, moored boats, and fishing boats), cycling, touring, diving (Ida and Cape Osezaki), and hiking (Mount Daruma, Mount Kinkan, and the Nishiizu Promenade). The Kurura Toda Roadside Station also offers a day-trip hot spring. While the area is famous for its spider crab, other deep-sea fish dishes and seafood, such as horse mackerel, are also delicious. The ocean off the coast of Toda is deep and boasts exceptional clarity. The elevation difference between the nearby Mount Fuji and the area is an astounding 6,000 meters. This area, where the Pacific, Eurasian, and Philippine tectonic plates collide, is not only home to a number of breathtaking views, but also attracts oceanographers and geologists from around the world for research. There are buses available from Shuzenji Station and Numazu Station, but please check the timetable in advance as they are very infrequent. We recommend renting a car in nearby cities such as Mishima or Numazu. The west coast of Izu is relatively lightly congested, and Toda, the gateway to the Izu Peninsula, is a convenient base for touring the peninsula. Arrive late at night after work and enjoy the peninsula from the morning. With a discounted stay that allows late check-in, you can enjoy every weekend like a three-day weekend for just a small additional fee. It's also a convenient base for touring. The entrance to the Nishiizu Skyline, often featured in car and motorcycle commercials, is located at Toda Pass, and offers low traffic and breathtaking views. Mihama Misaki Park: 5 minutes by car. Enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Fuji, beautiful sandy beaches, and a swimming spot. Perfect for a stroll. This area is also home to Mor
