Set among tropical gardens with flowers, ponds and hammocks, Spice House is a colonial-style hotel a 2-minute walk from Mirissa Beach. It features a large veranda overlooking the jungle where breakfast is served.

Whale and dolphin-watching boat trips leave from the Fisheries Harbour just 5 minutes' drive away. It is a 15-minute drive from Dondra Lighthouse, the island's highest and Southernmost point. Galle Fort is a 45-minute drive from the hotel.
Guests can surf the internet for free and rent canoeing and snorkelling equipment at the The Spice House Mirissa. The family who runs the guest-house will help plan visits and cater home-cooked meals.
