Dar Bensouda is located in the heart of Fes’s Medina, just 15-minute walk from Batha Square. This riad offers en suite rooms, 2 courtyards and a swimming pool. Dar Bensouda’s rooms combine the traditional architecture of the original palace with modern comforts. The rooms and suites are arranged around the fountain courtyard. They are air-conditioned and have a private bathroom. The suites have a bathtub and sitting room. Bensouda Riad’s rooftop terrace provides views of the medina. It has a traditional Moroccan tent where guests can relax and an upper terrace overlooking the Atlas Mountains. My name is Abdellatif Ait Benabdallah, I am the owner of Dar Bensouda and I am a Marrakech & Fes Medina lover. I’ve always had a real admiration for the traditional Moroccan architecture, and I decided to turn this passion into a job. I felt that I had the fine mission to save the Moroccan heritage and I succeeded in restoring more than 200 riads all around the Medina. I kept some of them for myself and I turned them into guesthouses, restaurants and literary cafés. I love the fact of walking around the streets of the Medina and the interaction with the different kinds of people has always been my strength.

On walking through the front door you will find yourself standing in the midst of an architectural masterpiece, the huge courtyard of the Dar Bensouda. Thanks to the patience of Abdellatif Aït Ben Abdallah, well-known for his work in protecting the heritage of the Marrakech medina, this Fez guest house has at last regained it's original soul. Every detail, simple or complex, the harmony of its proportions, the magic of it's colours and the extraordinary marriage of the ceramic tiling with the stucco work and wood, all bear witness to the elegance and refined taste of the first owner, the saint Bensouda (who lies at rest in the Zaouia opposite the riad). The Riad Bensouda is the ideal place for an unforgettable stay - a dream within your reach!
