Ambre Mauritius is an adult only beach resort, situated along the sheltered bay of Palmar facing a white sandy beach. It features an outdoor pool, a spa, 3 restaurants and 2 bars. The spacious rooms are modern and contemporary. They include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy Mauritian and international cuisines at the restaurants. Water sports facilities such as snorkelling, kayaking and wind surfing are available. There is also a fitness centre and 2 floodlit tennis courts. Guests are offered free access to additional facilities and restaurants at a nearby resort. Golfers benefit from free green fees and transfer to the 18-hole Ile Aux Cerfs Golf Club located just a 20-minute drive from the resort. The resort is a 1-hour drive both from SSR International Airport and the capital, Port-Louis.

Please note guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. The credit card holder needs to be present and the credit card needs to match the one used to guarantee the booking. Room rates on 24 December include a Christmas gala dinner and the rates on 31 December include a New Years gala dinner. Any guests in excess of the maximum occupancy of the room, including children, will be charged separately.
As per section 5 of the "The financial Intelligence and Anti-Money Laudering Act":"any person who makes or accepts any payment in cash in excess of 500,000 rupees or an equivalent amount in foreign currency shall commit and offence. Section 8. of the same Act Provides that any person who commit such an offence shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 2 million rupees and to penal servitude for a term not exceeding 10 years.
