Damai Beach Resort and Damai Central (beach side bars, 7-11, Sarawak Cultural Village, small cafes) is about 45 mins walk. Buntal Esplanade (seafood restaurants galore) is about 13 mins drive (or 2 hour walk if you are keen) and if you are seriously game, Kuching City is a 40 mins drive or 4.5 hours walk.
