Divundu is a cross-roads between Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Angola and within easy of Three World Heritage Sites! Divundu Guest House sits on the Kavango River just where the B8 Highway Bridge crosses it. We have begun building new guest rooms overlooking the river! Immediately across the river is Namibia's Bwabwata National Park (multi-use area). From the Guest House it is only 12 km to the Buffalo Core Area Entrance and just 20 km to the Mahango Core Entrance to the Park. Popa Falls National Park is just 5 km from Divundu. Victoria Falls, a World Heritage Site is only 500 km from Divundu and the famed Okavango Delta, also a World Heritage Site in Botswana is even less!
Safaris into Buffalo and Mahango give many photo opportunities of big game and the floodplains of the river and adjacent woodlands are teeming with hundreds of bird species. Boat trips and safaris are offered by several lodges in the area, including in traditional watos (canoes). Divundu Guest House will be delighted to organise a tailor-made set of visits. Ask at Reception.
A day trip can be made to the Tsodilo Hills World Heritage Site just over the border in Botswana with its thousands of San and Mbukushu rock paintings. A visit well worth it! Access is now possible by 2 wheel drive sedan.
Request a visit to homesteads in the area to experience real traditional life of the Hambukushu People! See the receptionist.
There are two supermarkets and a filling station within 1 km of the Divundu Guest House. Divundu has been recently proclaimed as a Village. Water, streets, sewers and other services are being built. We have a brand new Police Station and there is a post-office situated at the filling station.
Divundu Guest House has security officers on duty 24 hours of the day.
