Exclusive camping at the entrance gate to the Namib Naukluft Park and Sossusvlei - the area well known for the towering red sand dunes of the Namib Desert, the iconic scorched trees of Deadvlei and the remarkable depths of the Sesriem Canyon. Treasure the ambience of the Namib Desert, under the star studded skies, to the tune of the barking gecko and far cry of a jackal. The Sossus Oasis Camp Site offers 12 individual sites constructed in a semi-circle surrounding the relaxing pool area. Each site has a paved patch shaded by a wooden canopy, its own toilet and shower facilities, kitchen wash-up facility, barbeque and electricity points. (Bring your own camping gear!) Be spoiled with magnificent views of the Desert landscapes, the nearby Elim Dune and ending the day with unforgettable sunsets tinting the skies in shades from dusty pastels to flaming crimson. A fuel and service station, tyre workshop, stocked utility shop and Internet café is available at the adjacent Sossus Oasis Service Station. The nearest restaurant is situated at the adjacent Sossusvlei Lodge.

Lots to see and do - From the towering red sand dunes, the famous pan of Sossusvlei, the scorched black trees of Dead Vlei and the remarkable depths of the Sesriem Canyon. The Sossusvlei Lodge Adventure Centre (at our neighboring Sossusvlei Lodge) provides a range of activities including Guided Excursions to Deadvlei and Sossusvlei, Elim dune walks, Sundowner Trips, Hot Air Ballooning, Scenic Flights and much more to explore the area's natural beauty. Meals can be enjoyed at the nearby Sossusvlei Lodge restaurant. A fully stocked shop, fuel and tyre workshop is available at the Sossus Oasis Service Station on the premises
