The B&B wing of our property is totally new, it is the extension to the main property which my family live in. We have also recently renovated the main property which from the outside look like a brand new house. It is a large property with a large garage for our private use plus a free 3 car guests parking space. Our front and back gardens have been professionally landscaped, they are inviting, calming with lots of well thought sustainable plantings. Your entrance to the suites is via a private door at the lower part of the house, it is very convenient access to your rooms. The corridor is wide, built purposely for wheelchair access. The guests living room is next to the corridor where it opens out to a patio and back garden. There is also a dining room with tea/coffee facility and fridge, this is where breakfast is served each morning. The décor of the room is what you can see in the photos of our property, it is of minimalist style, serene, uncluttered, light and you get a sense of calm and peacefulness as you walk into the rooms. You will feel a great positive energy at my place because it is meant to be.

My name is Vivien Cooper, I am the owner operator and host of B&B The Redwoods. I work alone in hosting and looking after all my guests, ensuring that you get a personalized and individualized service from me at all times. I have been running my purpose built B&B for the last 9 years and I have enjoyed the different diversity of cultures, ethnic background and countries where my guests have come from. I am a well travelled local with an extensive global travel experience, I have travelled to over 30 countries for short and long term holidays. As for local knowledge I have visited all places of interests and attractions multiple times and I can help you plan your itinerary for your days in Rotorua and give you good advise to what's there to do. My family live in the upper part of our extended property, we have internal access to our guests area and I always interact with discretion should you need some privacy. However should you prefer to interact in the communal area I love sharing my local knowledge and personal stories and experiences with you. My property is located in the higher socioeconomic zone of Rotorua where our neighbourhood areas are very safe. I am the street co-ordinator for Awatea Terrace, I know each of the residence of my street by name. We have set examples for other neighbourhoods to follow by instigating security projects, community functions and soon to be communal gardens. The local council has acted on our calling for Redwood Forest backyards to be cleaned up and traffic speed limit to be reduced for the safety of pedestrians. B&B The Redwoods is located next to the forest where many of our guests have appreciated a walk to stretch your legs after a long drive to Rotorua. It is only 5 mins to the Blue, Green and Okareka lakes and another few minutes to the Buried Village and Lake Tarawera, Te Puia and City Centre. It is a 5 min walking distance to the Redwood Shopping Centre where there is a pharmacy, an ATM machine, bakeries, cafes and takeaways and convenience stores. Our street is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, it is secluded yet central. The ideal place for your stay in Rotorua!
